International Laparoscopic Workshop on Morbid Obesity

Course Description

This is a two-day program offering a comprehensive overview on the multidisciplinary management of obesity patients and it is dedicated to physicians, surgeons and allied healthcare professionals.

This course will consist of lectures by outstanding local and overseas experts who will discuss the most recent advances of medical and surgical treatment of Obesity. We will focus on the technical aspect of laparoscopic obesity surgery through a multidisciplinary approach on the most commonly performed surgery for the treatment of morbid obesity (gastric bypass, sleeve gastrectomy and gastric banding, etc). There will be an intense discussion on: preoperative management, prevention and management of complications, and practical technical issues to improve the clinical outcomes.
